Presentation will advise parents on “The Danger of Social Networking and Cyber Bullying” on February 2, 2011 at 7 pm at 50 South Dorset Road, Montauk, NY
New York, December 7, 2011 – Out East Management Company today announced it will sponsor a lecture for parents and students on the “Dangers of Social Networking” on Wednesday, Feb. 2, beginning a 7:00pm at the Montauk Public School. The presentation will be given by Mr. Sal Lifreiri, Presiden of Protective Countermeasures, Inc., a nationally recognized expert in personal security. The lecture will focus on how students can protect themselves from cyber bullies and how social networking technology has a downside, especially in college admissions and pre-employment applications. “As more an more individuals use this technology, the incidence of bullying, stalking, harassment, and inappropriate content are increasing. While it takes on many forms, the net effect is potential danger and major impact on its victim’s lives. Recognizing the dangers not only for the students but adults as well is vital,” says Mr. Lifrieri.
